  1. JW2X: AMY MATTUSHEK AND TAYLA-MAY BENTLEY
    • Amy is from St Andrew’s School for Girls in Bedfordview and Tayla is from St Mary’s Waverley.
    • Amy is a triple gold medalist from the 2014 South African Junior Championships, winning the JW1X, JW2X and the JW4X.
    • She also won the African Youth Games in 2014 in the JW1X.
    • Coached by Caitlin Reed from St Marys, Waverley. This is her 2nd year on the Junior coaching team.
  2. JM4+: RICARDO BUSATO, ANDREA GIAMMARTINI, GARTH HOLDEN AND JUSTIN BRUCE, COX: SEBASTIAN RAVEN
    • Attend St Benedict’s College in Bedfordview.
    • They are the reigning South African Junior Champions from 2014 in the JM8+, JM4+ and the JM2-.
    • Andrea Giamartini is the only returning member of this crew who competed in the JM8+ that placed 11th in 2013.
    • Coached by Brad Smith from St Benedict’s College. This is his first year on the Junior coaching team.
  3. JM1X: DANIEL WATKINS
    • From St Albans’s College in Pretoria, South Africa. The same school as 2012 Lightweight four Olympic gold medalist John Smith.
    • South African Junior and Senior Champion in the single scull for 2014.
    • He raced in the JM4X in 2013 that placed 6th.
    • He placed 2nd at the African Youth Games in 2014.
    • Coached by Tiago Loureiro - Head coach of St Alban’s College. This is his 5th year on the Junior team as coach.
  4. JM2-: DANIEL CARTER (STROKE) AND JAMES MITCHELL
    • Both are from St John’s College. The same school that 2013 Tour De France winner Chris Froome attended.
    • They are Junior opens so will hopefully be back again next year.
    • Coached by Grant Dodds, South African Junior Head Coach.
  5. M4X-: CHARLE BRITTAIN, NICK OBERHOLZER, NICK FARREL AND CHRIS MITTENDORF
    • This boat is made up of rowers from St Alban’s College in Pretoria and Somerset College in Cape Town.
    • The stroke man Charles Brittain is the youngest brother of 2012 Lightweight four Olympic gold medalist, Matt Brittain.
    • Chris Mittendorf - return for his second year after racing the JM1X in 2013 placing 23rd overall.
    • Coached by James Buchannan from St Albans College. This is his first year on the Junior coaching team.
